Silver Dollar Awesome
Monday, June 27th, 2011Should I use sand for this tank or gravel???
Tank will have:
1 Silver dollar (I know they are schooling but my tank can't accomidate more than one, and I really want to get one)
1 Upside down cat (Again, I know they are schooling fish)
1 Dragon goby
1 brittlenose pleco
4 Cory Cats
3 Blind cave tetras
The tank is 40 gallons. I will use fake plants and have around 3 caves. Tank will be at 78 and will be filtered with a whisper 20-40 and a cascade 150. I know these are not the best HOB filters, but the pet store had an awesome deal on both. I got both filters for $30 total! Can I just use a bag of "play" sand box sand. Any other suggestions about my tank would be appreciated. Thanks!
Gravel might be good for alot of those species but sand can get more containmenated as it holds old food and can help to dirty the water.gravel always better choice in my opinion.good luck deciding and nice fish man.
