What are your favorite last minute Christmas/Yule recipes?
I spent the morning making dessert cream cheese balls for gifts for a couple folks and for parties that I'll be attending. They turned out pretty good from the samples I had.
This is the recipe I used:
Mint Chip Cheese Balls
4 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened
2 c finely chopped pecans
1/2 of 12oz bag peppermints, crushed
1 pkg (11 1/2 oz) chocolate chips, finely chopped
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add pecans, chocolate chips and mints. Divide into four portions. Cover and refrigerate 1 hr or until firm. Shape each portion into a ball; roll in red and green sprinkles or crushed peppermints. Store in refrigerator. Serve with chocolate wafers or graham crackers.
make peanutbutter sandwiches using ritz then dip in melted choclate.
