Commemorative Silver
Value commemorative coin money?
My wife asked me a question, and I could not give an answer, which always bothers me. So I thought I could get an expert opinion on here. I have a commemorative silver .999 Fine Liberty Corner. The piece is dated 1991. The coin weighs one pound so basically the question is what is a £ 1 .999 sterling silver commemorative coin sell for these days? A picture of Lady Liberty on the front, with the year 1991, and the eagle on the back. Apart from that, the same coin.
This is not a piece currency, but in fact is a medal. Most collectors call the silver towers and of course the one ounce type is most common. As this medal eBay said it is a replica of a silver eagle U.S. Mint. The Mint has failed, or yours. In fact, they have very little collector value or no value and it depends on the price of money when you sell. Precious metals are weighed in troy ounce system, some elements say that others take for granted an already knows. Commemorative this and that were from private mints in the 1960s and some have trouble with the U.S. Department of Treasury and Secret Service and mint. They have over the last two years has begun to rage against the elements that give the impression that they are an of government. You can tell your wife that you have a pound of silver as an investment, as the price of money increases because the value of your silver tower.
