Adams Error
How do I make an error 1024 go away?
I’ve had Microsoft Exchange for a couple of years now, and it’s worked just fine. Now I get an error 1024 message when I use EdgeSync. I’m not entirely sure what to do about it, since I can’t do what it’s telling me. Here’s what it says:

Description: The connection to the ADAM instance of the Edge Transport server failed with exception "The LDAP server is unavailable." This could be caused by a failure to resolve the Edge Transport server name XXXXXX in DNS, a failure when trying to connect to port 50636 on Edge Transport server XXXXXX, network connectivity issues, an invalid certificate, or an expired subscription. Verify the configurations of your network and server.
My subscription is fine, but I don’t know what to do about the rest of it. Can someone help me?
If your subscription is fine and it worked before, it’s probably not the certificate, either. It could be any of the other things listed. The good thing is that you don’t have to “trial and error” it to find out what’s wrong. It all boils down to one thing and that’s easy to fix.
The problem is with your registry. It basically filled up with junk files or maybe some files got damaged from overuse. All you need is this registry cleaner: http://optimize-your-pc.com/regcure/repairing_errors.php. It’s the quickest, easiest and most thorough cleaner out there. Use it regularly, and all of your problems are solved!
